This was about finding a section design that looked good but that also complimented my design and contrasting that I went with for my final section I felt really made the open spaces pop and made it easy to read as passages that people can walk around through.

These interior views below became my most important views as they all explain my concept really well as a library that is oriented towards the public and connecting the outside to the inside.

This perspective view helps to demonstrate how people can interact with the heritage spaces, and how they can pass through the library both inside and outside. This view shows how people can study whilst also having a view that looks down to the outside passage way and out towards the dome. This heritage dome is central to the library and passages occupy around it allowing it to be viewed as if it was a sculpture, its a piece of history and therefore it would become a tourist attraction

This shows a strong correlation between the inside and outside passages on the ground floor, where by people can access from two big entrances. One enters through a public study space where as the other passages through the library's main corridor that connects to the outside space. This view is extremely important as a strong community scenery has been formed tarts both enclosed but also open at the same time allowing the public to have easy access and its extremely welcoming.

This view was one of my least important images however I liked how it still created a scenes of community gathering even at night, where people could gather around the cinema area without feeling trapped beside tall buildings as the rest of the city does.

This view is a good over view of the redesigned library from afar, really showing all the public space and facades that have been created. Keeping a clear contrast between new and old through form and material.

This view shows how the library works, having the public outside spaces designed into the structures themselves, where by the stairs for example become the roof of the interior space. This view also positions people to walk up, it drives people into the library and through to the dome which can also be viewed from this street position. this is important as the library is designed around the attraction of the heritage building so a clear sight to the dome is important.

This side of the library's a unique feature, and exterior balcony that swoops along the side of the library and connects the outside to the inside neatly. It's easily readable to see how the different floors connect and work with each other, and allows people to go from the street to the top of the library very easily with a nice path along the way, walking though areas of community oriented spaces where kids can place on the grass to areas where people can simply stand around and observe the surroundings. Walking around this library will be like walking around the Yarra looking at everything as you walk, apposed to just walking down boring laneways.

These top elevations based on the feedback needed to be altered as the light that’s shining on the building looked funny with a plain background with no surrounding context, so after placing the site behind the elevations it made the scale and the building work better in elevation
