This was my initial attempt at designing a library that would be community orientated and try to draw more people into the library. However this was unsuccessful as the bridges made it less community oriented as people were confined to tight passage ways based on my feedback.

These are the materials that I chose to use on the new design of the public library as it gave off a really warmth and welcoming feel to the library in the final.
After taking some more feedback on board, I experimented with some alternative materials and also progressed with the design of the library at the same time to develop a stronger language.
These three views helped to show the public spaces that can be seen from both neighbouring building and from both inside the library itself. These views also show the connection between areas outside and inside the library that worth together in harmony to create a community space that feels like a city runs within the library itself.
