This was my initial attempt at designing a library that would be community orientated and try to draw more people into the library. However this was unsuccessful as the bridges made it less community oriented as people were confined to tight passage ways based on my feedback.

This site plan view shows the public usable space that is available and how it links up from the floor to the top of the library.
This exterior view shows some of the roof space available to the general public with the massive elevator that goes up to the top of the dome and the rooftop bar that looks out towards a cinema screen
This perspective shows my project really well, as it shows a few ways to enter the library and ways to get to the top. This view also shows a lot of the formal qualities of the library as well as the outdoor pool that can be easily accessed while looking out to the rest of the city.
The corner view here allows for easy public access from the street as it was once boxed off and was unappealing to the public. This tends to draw people in more and has a variety of paths to take.
The demolition plan shows the areas I removed for the redesign, the master plan shows the floor plan of the first level that shows the paths that go throughout the library and the ways that peoples will use the spaces. The introduction of an indoor cinema and a cafe, these areas are purely for public use and will draw a variety of different people in.
